How do I become the Physio Focus?

As a benefit of ACPAT membership, all Category A members are invited to appear as the Physio Focus.

Your details will appear for a minimum of four weeks, during which time you will receive maximum exposure on the website, hopefully resulting in new clients and new relationships with other ACPAT members.

If you are interested in becoming the next Physio Focus, please follow the instructions below and forward the details to us.  We will then be in contact with you to provide further instructions.

What information should I provide?

This is an outline of the type of information we would like to publish.  You may amend the questions or add more if you wish, however the general structure and length should remain the same, so that there is some consistency between each profile featured.

  1. How long have you been a Chartered Physiotherapist and an animal physiotherapist?
  2. What interested you in specialising in animals?
  3. Where did you train and what did it involve?
  4. What do you enjoy most about treating animals?
  5. What is the most unusual animal you have treated?
  6. Can you tell us more about your practice/business?
  7. What other animal related/ACPAT activities are you involved in?

The key messages we try to convey in the Physio Focus are:

  • Professional experience
  • Current professional interests / studies
  • Personal touch (e.g. pictures of your own animals) – aiming to give members of the public a ‘warm’ feeling about your commitment to their pets welfare
  • Marketing – we will include direct links to your email and website if you have one.

How many photos should I provide?

You should provide at least 5 photographs that are relevant to the information provided, along with a portrait photograph of yourself.

The aim of the Physio Focus is to allow the reader to get to know you and to understand what you do.  Photographs of you with your pets and showing you treating an animal are best.

The inclusion of your photographs will depend on the quality.  Poor quality images will not be used.

When will my details be shown on the website?

Once we have received all the required information, this will be sent for authorisation by one of the ACPAT Committee.  Once agreed, your profile will then join the queue of other profiles awaiting publication.

We will try to indicate when we anticipate publishing your profile and will contact you by email when it is due to go live.

Who do I contact for further assistance?

Please contact the ACPAT Administrative Assistant, Karen Page, with any further questions.
